My iPod died just now. It’s been acting funny for about a week now with the hard drive “clicking” and unable to play songs some of the time. Now it can’t even boot up. I’m a little disappointed in the lifetime - I’ve only had it for a two years and I would expect a $400 piece of electronics to last 3-4 years minimum. Anyhow I just ordered a new 80GB one from the Apple Store (using the IBM employee discount) so hopefully it will get it by next weekend.

That happened to mine after 9 months, they replaced it then 3 months into the 2nd one it died. They replaced it again for free but if this one breaks any time soon I might be done with the iPod.
