I’ve started modifying the Daytona 675. The first day I had it I removed the decent horn from the Speed Triple and exchanged it for the stock little girlie horn (with apologies to all little girlies out there). On Friday I got a set of GSG frame sliders, which are really nice in that they mount in two places to the engine (less likely to damage the engine in a crash) and don’t require cutting of the stock body work. Jimbo provided a spare and welcome set of helping hands in installing those. This afternoon I got a set of Heli Bars, which raise the stock bars up 1.5 inches. That may not seem like a lot but it makes all the difference in the world in making an hour ride go from miserable to bearable. It’s never going to be a touring bike but at least the ergonomics aren’t too eXXtreme now.
See the before and after pictures to get a better feel for the change.
