Overcoming Bias: When None Dare Urge Restraint

I had the exact same thought and in a way, the terrorists HAVE won. Our President completely overreacted and kept Americans in a state of fear in order to remain in power. In return, he’s devastated the economy, plowed us into an unwinnable war, wrecked any semblance of American credibility world-wide and fought tooth and nail to keep everything his administration does secret while spying as much as possible on us. I honestly believe at this point that Bush will go down as the worst president of all time. Hoover is widely regarded as the worst due to his mismanagement of the economy leading to the Great Depression but our current economy is certainly looking a bit shaky at this point, wouldn’t you agree? Spending more while taxing less certainly seems like an incompetent policy to me.

I really hope that 2008 will make for a change in direction. If you want less government, you want Ron Paul. If you want a smarter government, you want Barack Obama. If you want business as usual, you want empty suits like Mitt Romney, Ruby Giuliani or (imo) Hillary Clinton.
