Toyota in F1

February 16th, 2008 · No Comments

What’s hilarious about Toyota’s F1 program is the absolutely abysmal rate of return on their investment. By many accounts, they spend an obscene amount of money on the program and yet they are consistently terrible. A point for 8th place is a good race result and 5th or 6th place is stellar.

And the sad thing is they continue to do this year after year. I’ve been following F1 for about 5-6 years now and it’s always been the same story. At what point do they pack their bags and head home? Or do they double down and buy a better team?

F1: Trulli: Podiums completely unrealistic.
