Today was a bit of a bummer. I set out the day to visit the National Museum and the Kafka Museum. I found out that the Kafka Museum was not where I thought it was (it is across the river) so I couldn’t get to it. I couldn’t raise the energy to browse through the National Museum because my feet were killing me by the time I got there. I also couldn’t find the grocery store I discovered yesterday to buy lunch, found the restaurant I wanted to eat dinner at was closed when I got there at 6:45pm and I got hit by the “great rate in giant print, huge commission in tiny print” scam at a money changer.
I did visit St. George’s Cathedral, the Tyn Church and the main commercial thoroughfare so it wasn’t completely wasted.
But at this point I’m sick of streets crowded with tourists and am looking forward to the train ride to Berlin tomorrow.
