October 16th, 2008 · No Comments

I did another track day Monday at Harris Hill Road and had a great time. The problem is that I feel like I’m going really fast but then I look like this:

Meh.

I’ve put up a simple page for the wedding. We’ll be adding details as we firm up arrangements but it looks like the wedding will be the weekend of Dec 20th in Las Vegas at the Wynn Hotel. If you can read this, you are invited to join us for the weekend! We’ll be reserving a block of rooms at a nearby hotel.

The Big Move

October 4th, 2008 · 2 Comments

The population at Chateau Perham has skyrocketed in the last 24 hours, from a reasonable 2 to an incredible 4. Rand has the sunroom of my stately manor to himself, along with the entire backyard. Tammy has apparently claimed my empty front room, guest room and my office for herself. Molly of course has the kitchen, living room and bedroom. This means that I get the laundry room and the garage. There should be enough room between my bike and car to fit a sleeping bag. :)

A Lot of Smiles Per Gallon

My supermoto bike gets a mention in the NY Times. The last paragraph talks about the supermoto phenomenon and how it makes for a good commuter bike due to the upright position and dirt bike suspension. While I would like to have an updated version of my bike (the current DRZ is mid 90s in terms of motorcycle technology) with things like fuel injection, it’s nice to have articles like this remind me of why I ride in the first place.

I had a fence put in this week to close the backyard for Rand. Here’s a few pictures of him in his new doggie room. And for Janet, more pics of the ring!

So we’re supposed to give $700 billion to this guy with no regulation at all.

Wasn’t lack of regulation what led to this situation in the first place?

The lovely Miss Macy accepted my proposal of marriage tonight. :) We then set off to the Austin Symphony to celebrate the occasion.

Let’s get to the stuff the girls care about. It’s a 1.5 carat yellow sapphire.
